Brendan Blaney graduated from Queen’s University Belfast and the Institute of Professional Legal Studies. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1983 and joined Flynn & McGettrick the same year, becoming a Partner in 1986. He qualified as an Advanced Advocate in 2000.
Brendan specialises in criminal law and adopts an active defence approach, identifying weaknesses in police and prosecution cases from the earliest stages of arrest and interview. He appears at all court levels, including the Magistrates’ Court, Crown Court, County Court, High Court, and Court of Appeal.
