Aoife McKnight studied Law in Liverpool and completed her Certificate of Professional Legal Studies at Queen’s
University Belfast. She trained with a general practice in Belfast before joining Flynn & McGettrick in November
2024 as a solicitor specialising in family and matrimonial law.
Aoife has a strong interest and extensive experience in family law, representing clients across various
court levels including the Family Proceedings Court, Domestic Proceedings Court, Family Care Centre, County
Court, and High Court.
Areas of expertise include:
- Private Law Proceedings: Contact, residence, and specific issue applications.
- Public Law Proceedings: Care orders and adoption applications
- Matrimonial Law: Divorce and financial settlements related to marriage breakdown.
- Hague Convention Cases: Experience in international child abduction cases within the High Court.
